PTTHEX B.V.

PTTHex is a push-to-talk application supplied to organisations for work use. Accounts are issued by the organisation you work for, not created by you, and the organisation runs its own server on which its data is held.
That matters for everything below. For the information handled through your account, your organisation decides what is collected and how long it is kept; PTTHEX B.V. provides the software and the hosting. Where the law uses those words, your organisation is the data controller and we are its processor.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your name, email address, and the team or branch you belong to | So colleagues and dispatch know who is speaking, and so you can sign in |
| Your profile picture and short description, if you add one | Shown to colleagues in the app |
| Voice you send by pressing the talk button | Carried live to the channel you are speaking on |
| Messages, pictures, video, files and voice notes you send | Delivered to the people or channels you send them to |
| Calls you make and receive in the app | Connecting the call, and a record of it for your organisation |
| Where your device is, including while the app is in the background, if your organisation switches it on for you | So dispatch can see which units are near an incident and can reach you in an emergency |
| Device details: model, operating system, app version, network, battery level, and language | So dispatch knows a unit is reachable, and so faults can be found |
| A code identifying the handset, and which devices are signed in | So your organisation can approve the devices allowed on its server |
The app asks your permission before using the microphone, the camera, your photos, your location, nearby Bluetooth accessories, or sending you notifications. You can refuse any of them, and change your mind later in your phone's settings. Refusing a permission stops that feature working — it does not stop the rest of the app.
The server keeps the last known position of each device, not a trail. There is one record per handset and each new position replaces the one before it, so no history of your movements builds up.
Location is collected only while your organisation has that feature switched on for your account. Background location exists so that a unit can be found in an emergency when the app is not open, which is the purpose of a push-to-talk system for field teams.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising. There is no advertising in PTTHex and no advertising or analytics code in the app.
Messages, media and call records are your organisation's operational and safety records and are kept under its retention policy, which it sets.
Two things are cleared automatically: activity logs used for troubleshooting are deleted after 30 days by default, and your device's position is a single current record that is overwritten rather than accumulated.
Closing your account ends it as something that can be used, and does not remove the records above. This is explained in full on the account deletion page.
You can close your account yourself at any time, from Settings › Privacy & Security › Delete your account in the app, or on the web at web.ptthex.com/account-deletion — which works whether or not the app is still installed.
For anything held about you that closing does not remove, including a request to see it or have it corrected, contact whoever administers your organisation's PTTHex server. They decide what is kept and are the people the law requires to answer.
PTTHex is a workplace tool. It is not directed at children and accounts are issued by employers to their own people.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Where a change materially affects what is collected, your organisation is told so it can tell you.
